[Dawn] Tension prevailed in New Karachi on Tuesday after a city worker of the banned Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan was shot dead in the area. According to the police, the victim was sitting in a local restaurant, when two unidentified gunmen riding on a motorcycle gunned him down and subsequently escaped.
Following the murder, more unidentified gunmen resorted to aerial firing in the area. Police then used tear gas shells to disperse the angry mob.
Law Enforcement Agencies have launched a door-to-door search operation in the Godra area to capture the suspects.
