| 6.2 quake hits Indonesia |

| [Straits Times] A STRONG 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck northern Indonesian waters on Monday but there were no reports of damage and no tsunami warning was issued, geologists said. The quake struck below the sea about 218 km south of Manado, Sulawesi island, just after 5pm (1000 GMT, 6pm Singapore time), according to the US Geological Survey website. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre did not issue a warning. |
