[Ma'an] Operatives affiliated with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine said they launched three mortars against Israeli forces east of Gaza City on Wednesday.The PFLP's Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades said its forces attacked a patrol accompanied by a military bulldozer stationed at the eastern cemetery between Gaza City and Israel.
The purported attack came in response to "Israeli attacks and crimes against Palestinians and detainees," the leftist Palestinian faction explained in a statement.
An Israeli military spokesman said he was aware of no such attack.
