Reuters' journalist travelled to Pakistan's northwest on the border with Afghanistan to find that some of the Kiplingesque images of xenophobic Pasthuns and ungovernable lands may be a bit off the mark, especially now when the Pakistani army has taken the battle to the Islamist militants. |

#2 Sounds like one of those articles from the 2002-2005 era in Afghanistan. Note that although the roads are supposedly better than elsewhere in the region, she still was flown in by helicopter. |

#1 Obviously didnt visit the torture chambers covered in blood , the indoctrinating enclosures and al-Zawahiri hideouts etc etc etc but hey im not one to challenge the myths of pakistans turbulent northwest because after all , its all fine and dandy .. Flowers all round ! |
