U.S. base in Salah el-Din mortared |

SALAH AL-DIN / Aswat al-Iraq: Five mortar shells have fallen on a U.S. base in Salah al-Din, but no casualties have been reported, a local police source said on Wednesday. “Five mortar shells landed on the U.S. Camp Anaconda in Yathrib district, southern Tikrit, on Wednesday (May 19),' the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency. There has been no word on damage or casualties, the source pointed out. Tikrit, the capital city of Salah al-Din province, lies 175km north of Baghdad. |

#1 Once again R-Burgers, the firefinder found em, plotted the POO (Point of Origin), sounded the Giant Voice. Soldiers did what they need to do, (Kitted and Bunkered up) and I'm sure Counter-battery was on it's way before the last round fell. Mortarmen normally have a huge set of Stones when incoming rounds are falling around them. Like a hive of Bees, they have a thing about protecting their home. |
