Five people have been shot dead in Thailand's troubled south, including three villagers and two Islamic terrorists militants hit in gunbattles with authorities, police said on Thursday.
In Yala province terrorists suspected insurgents killed a 46-year-old Muslim man in a drive-by shooting on Wednesday before setting him and his motorcycle alight. In the same district a Buddhist woman was shot dead in her grocery shop.
Early on Thursday, two Islamic terrorists militants were shot and killed in an hour-long clash with security officials in Narathiwat province. Later in the same province, a 56-year-old Muslim man was shot dead in another drive-by shooting by terrorists militants, police said. |
