Dutchman Offers Holloway Details for Move
2010-06-14
Charged with murder and fearing for his life in an overcrowded Peruvian prison, Joran van der Sloot reportedly wants to make a deal: He says he'll lead Aruban officials to Natalee Holloway's remains if he gets a transfer to a prison in the Caribbean island. According to Radio Netherlands Worldwide, 22-year-old van der Sloot is claiming he will discuss the location of Holloway's body with Aruban officials only if he is sent back to Aruba, where he was twice arrested but never charged in the 2005 disappearance of the Alabama teen.

#11  A couple more sessions with the Peruvian interrogators and he'll tell them anything they want to know, and right smartly. Don't give him a damn thing, other than a fair trial and a quick hanging.

#10  Isn't there a movie called, In Hell, which I think is a Van Damn movie, which was set in a Peruvian prison?

Can't think of a more appropriate prison for him.

As for Halloway - Sounds like a legitimate use of waterboarding.

and JFM - don't forget the quote right after that (Best one of the movie IMHO):

Cindy (Rae Dawn Chong): "What did you do with him?"
John Matrix (Arnold): "I let him go!"

#9  Wasn't the film "Kiss of the Spider Woman" set in a Peruvian prison?

#8  Let him trade the location of her body for a less dire imprisonment in Peru. He isn't likely to forget where it is between now and after his conviction.

In the movie "Commando"

Arnold holding a bad guy head downwards over a chasm "You remember  I told you if you talked you would be the last of the band I would kill?

Bad guy (screaming histerically) "Yeeeeeees! You said it"

Arnold while opening his hand "I lied"

#7  He has already lied about where the body is after extorting $25,000 from Beth Holloway Twitty. That money is what was used to travel to Peru. This guy has no visible means of support and hangs at casinos, even on school nights--and what was he doing in Thailand, for Pete's sake!?! He even claimed he sold her on videotape and early reports were Natalee was on a fishing boat to Venezuela and her mother once claimed she got a faint phone call in about July asking for help, but it was untraceable. Possibly a cruel prank, but has father sweat buckets when Greta interviewed him, and obviously knew more than he said but he died of a heart attack since. If Joran is a predator and trafficker, I can think of no better sentence than a Peruvian prison!

#6  The closure for the Holloway family is knowing that their daughter died right away rather than being held in captive somewhere, with all that might entail. Getting the body back, while nice, is not necessary for them, although it would be helpful for the Aruban prosecutor.

Let him trade the location of her body for a less dire imprisonment in Peru. He isn't likely to forget where it is between now and after his conviction.

#5  I doesn't matter what anyone wants. Peru is not going to let this guy swagger off to Aruba and make a mockery of the Holloway family's grief.
They have him and are going to keep him. Throw him in a cell with 20 homosexuals that all look like Mongo from Blazing Saddles and we'll see what he knows for sure.

#4  The Holloway family, I am sure, is grieving terribly, and has been since their daughter disappeared. I can understand that they want her back for a proper burial and closure.

But -- this fellow is a classic manipulator. That's what he is doing right now. The only way to deal with it is to make him STOP manipulating people. That means, right now, make clear to him that he'll play for the Flores murder in Peru, and THEN pay for the Holloway murder in Aruba.

That means, unfortunately, that the Holloway family has to be iron-willed -- while they want their daughter back, they'll agree to NO deals whatsoever with her murderer.

#3  Why would Peru agree to such a deal? Send his cold, dead, can't get no deader corpse back to Aruba.

#2  You will disclose the location of The American Citizens body and pray to GOD you do not have to spend your sentence in Peru.

#1  The Peruvians have him by the balls. He is going to jail, and he won't keep his chastity there for long.

If he sets foot in Aruba, he won't be going back to Peru under any circumstances.

I say screw the deal and let him rot in Peru. We all know what happened.

If he survives his sentence there in Peru, forward him to Aruba or the USA, wherever his life will be most miserable.
