| N. Korea to severely punish guards for shooting 3 Chinese to death |

| [Kyodo: Korea] North Korea has told China it will ""severely punish"" those responsible for the fatal shooting of three Chinese people in a border area last week, China"s Xinhua News Agency reported Thursday. The North"s border defense authorities said they will ""further investigate the incident and prevent such things from happening again,"" Xinhua said in a dispatch from Shenyang, quoting a statement issued by the Liaoning provincial government in northeastern China. |
