| #3 The United States would be better advised to stop the game now and seek an open alliance with India, the world's largest democracy and America's natural partner in Central As Amen. Long past time. America + India = containment of the toxic waste dump that is Pakistan, and containment of the would-be hegemon that is China. Would be nice if Russia could be brought on board somehow as well. Full court press. |

| #2 This bit made me shudder: The politicians in Washington know they have lost... They can only hope that once the country plunges into chaos, the public will have moved onto other themes. Spengler tactfully avoided specifying which country will plunge into chaos, and which themes the public will move to. |
