[Maghrebia] Two bomb blasts killed an Algerian soldier in Theniet Boussalah, Batna province, El Watan reported on Sunday (August 15th). Four civilians and another ANP troop were wounded in the attack, which occurred on the first day of Ramadan. The civilians were injured when their car hit a roadside bomb. The second bomb exploded when soldiers arrived at the scene.
In other news, Algerian security forces on Saturday launched a major operation in Skikda. The action followed the arrest of two men in Kerkera on charges of disseminating jihad and recruiting fighters among young people in the region. |
