| 3 Shibir men held at Chittagong U |

| [Bangla Daily Star] Police arrested three leaders of Islami Chhatra Shibir of Chittagong University (CU) unit including its general secretary yesterday afternoon for their alleged involvement in injuring a Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activist on the campus. The arrestees were CU unit Shibir general secretary Nesar Ahmad Niaji, unit president Tofael Ahmad and organising secretary Shahidul Islam Rasel. About 50 Shibir activists on motorbikes went to the university around 1:00pm yesterday and patrolled the campus for half an hour, sources said. |
