| Seoul's Top Nuclear Negotiator to Visit U.S. |

| South Korea's chief nuclear negotiator Wi Sung-lac departs for a three-day visit to the U.S. on Thursday. The Foreign Ministry says the envoy will discuss issues related to the Korean Peninsula with his U.S. counterparts Deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg, Special Representative for North Korea Policy Stephen Bosworth, and Special Envoy for the Six-Party Talks Sung Kim. As for the stalled six-way talks on North Korea's nuclear program, Wi is to once again convey Seoul's stance that it won't return to the meetings unless Pyongyang displays a change in its behavior with regard to the denuclearization process and its sinking of the South Korean Naval corvette Cheonan. |
