#3  The Navy is finding that there are crewing considerations w/r the LCS. The crews are getting 4-6 hours of sleep. The "other duties as assigned" such as guard duty, fueling, ect. are filling the off-duty time of the crew.

#2  Isn't automation one reason the navy stepped away from frigates? The maintenance expense was too high for the automation, not to mention how combat damage would affect performance.

#1  Um....I wouldn't want one. See, the Russian one was notorious for trying to shove the gunner's arm into the breech with the tank round. The last line of one article I read about it was this. "Supposedly, this has been fixed."
