[Iran Press TV] An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 has jolted the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan and the northwestern and eastern regions of Pakistain.Pak officials have told Press TV that the quake caused panic and that people rushed out of their homes.
No reports of damage have been received so far.
This latest natural disaster has struck Pakistain as millions of people affected by the recent floods are still without shelter.
The epicenter of the quake, which struck at a depth of 199.7 kilometers (124.1 miles) at 11:51 p.m. local time (1921 GMT), was 75 kilometers (45 miles) southeast of Faizabad and 265 kilometers (165 miles) northeast of Kabul, Afghanistan, the US Geological Survey (USGS) reported.
