'US not after terrorists in Afghanistan'
2010-10-04
[Iran Press TV] Afghanistan's Caped President Hamid Maybe I'll join the Taliban Karzai has hinted that the US and its Western allies are not serious enough in hunting down hard boyz in the country.

Karzai made the remarks at the presidential palace in Kabul in a Saturday meeting with visiting Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard.

Australia has 1,500 soldiers in Afghanistan and 21 Australian soldiers have been killed in the country since 2002.

The Afghan president said the security situation in Afghanistan does not improve as the US-led foreign forces have not been targeting the bad boys' main hideouts in the war-torn country, the office of Karzai's front man said in a Sunday statement, a Press TV correspondent reported.

Karzai said on Saturday that the US-led foreign forces were pursuing their own national security interests in Afghanistan.

The Afghan president has recently increased criticism of the US Arclight airstrikes that have caused a large number of civilian casualties.

Hundreds of civilians have lost their lives in US-led Arclight airstrikes and ground operations in various parts of Afghanistan over the past few months.

#3  If Karzai keeps pushing, he might find himself all alone in Kabul, without his foreign muscle to protect him. That is when the warlords will decide which of them gets to be President for awhile. And a big section of the ANA will be involved in king-making this time around - to make sure the goodies keep flowing into their bailiwick.

#2  And what of his own ANA, what have they done?

#1  Karzai has been doing too much Quality Assurance sampling in his country's export trade. Who does he think keeps him in his phoney baloney job?
