(Xinhua) -- Two hard boyz of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) beturbanned goon outfit including a top commander were killed Tuesday in a fierce shootout with India' s Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and police in Indian- controlled Kashmir, police said Wednesday. The shootout broke out Tuesday evening at village Deedan Gali- Mahore of Reasi district, 170 km north of Jammu, the winter capital of Indian-controlled Kashmir. "On specific information about presence of hard boyz in Deedan Gali of Mahore, a joint party of police and CRPF were dispatched to the area to take on beturbanned goons. Militants present there fired on the joint column, thereby triggering a shootout. In the standoff two hard boyz have been killed. One of them was a divisional commander of the group active in the area for more than a decade," said police front man based in Jammu. The slain hard boyz were identified as the local carders of the HM outfit. The HM is region's leading indigenous beturbanned goon group. |
