NINEWA / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi forces detained a leading member of the self-styled Islamic State of Iraq (ISI) allegedly in charge of assassinations in the province of Ninewa on Sunday, according to an official security source.
“A force from the Ninewa-based 2nd Quick Response Department (QRD) Brigade, known as the Talafar SWAT, arrested Falah Hassan Muhammad al-Djerbi, alias al-Fallouh, in a security operation in al-Mohandessin neighborhood, central Mosul,” the QRD source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
Another number 3 gets jugged! | Talafar lies 60 km northwest of Mosul.
“Djerbi, a local resident of al-Ayadiya district, (13 km) northern Talafar, is a key ISI member who is in charge of masterminding assassinations,” the source added. |
