Democrats to keep Congress, Gibbs says |
2010-10-19 |
White House press secretary Minister of Information Robert Washington BobGibbs now says Democrats will retain control of Congress, after having predicted this past summer that they could lose the House. "Come election night, we'll retain control of the House and Senate," Mr. Gibbs, the White House's chief front man, said Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press." In July, Mr. Gibbs said on that show, "I think there is no doubt there are enough seats in play that could cause Republicans to gain control. There's no doubt about that." |

#3 We'll count 'em up on November 3rd and see who is right, Bobby. My money is on the pissed off Americans who are tired of Washington corruption. |

#2 Strictly speaking, he's right: no matter what happens on November 2, the Democrats will still control both houses on election night. Of course, things will probably be very different come January, when the new Congress is sworn in. |
