| 15 killed in clashes in southern Somalia |

| [Iran Press TV] At least 15 people have lost their lives in heavy clashes between Somali government troops and al-Shabaab fighters in the southern part of the country near the border with Kenya. The fighting started on Saturday and by Sunday night at least one town, Belet Hawo, had switched hands, with government forces pushing out the hard boys. Somalia's Ministry of Information said that 11 al-Shabaab fighters and one government soldier were killed in the fighting. A witness said at least three non-combatants were killed in the clashes. |
