"Hizbullah is against the International Tribunal because it is absolutely confident that it is not responsible for the liquidation of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri," Qassem told the Qatari newspaper al-Watan. Describing the STL as "politicized," Qassem said the Court has "gone beyond its target of finding the truth." He accused the STL of seeking to "settle scores" instead. Qassem said Hizbullah members will not hand themselves over to the Tribunal. He called on Prime Minister Saad Hariri to find a clear-cut solution to the STL crisis and exert efforts to avoid strife. |
