He said the South believes Pyongyang has some 40 kg of plutonium which could be turned into warheads for ballistic missiles and is seeking to reduce the size of its nuclear bombs. It was previously assumed that the North is a long way from making nuclear devices small enough to fit on a missile. Kim said the ministry is carefully monitoring signs of unusual activity at the North's nuclear test site. "There are no clear signs of the North preparing for another nuclear test," he said. | |

#6 Back in May 2010, the Norks announced that they had carried out a nuclear fusion reaction. At the time, it was thought that this was a smallish experiment. given their not-completely-successful fission detonations, I don't think anyone thinks the Norks are anywhere near being able to detonate a fusion bomb. |
