[Bangla Daily Star] Four suspected members of the banned cut-thoat outfit Hizb ut-Tahrir Bangladesh were jugged at Chittagong city on Monday.Panchlaish police however disclosed the arrests on Tuesday, reports our staff correspondent in Chittagong.
The arrestees are Muntasir Alam Rajib, 22, Hamidul Islam Tarek, 21, Md Ibrahim, 20, and Zahidul Islam Zahid, 20.
Officer-in-Charge of Panchlaish Police Station Nobo Jyoti Khisha said he with the help of patrol police jugged Tarek, Ibrahim and Zahid at CDA Avenue Monday afternoon following their suspicious movement.
They also recovered 31 leaflets of Hizb ut-Tahrir from their possessions.
In the evening, Muntasir was jugged when he went to the cop shoppe to know the reason behind the arrest of Tarek, Ibrahim and Zahid.
On primary interrogation, Muntasir admitted his involvement with the banned outfit, the OC said.
