Ex-Pres Carter says All the Norks want is respect and US negotiation |
2010-11-24 |
In an opinion piece for the WaPo, who have published his musings in the op ed section many times, ex President Carter: - says that all the NORKs want is respect - praises himself for the 1994 agreement (he elides the part about the NORKs immediately breaking the deal) - says that the NORKs will easily agree to end their nuclear programs, put the dismantling activities under IEAA inspection and sign a permanent peace treaty if only the US agrees to bilateral talks (to replace the 6 power negotiating framework). - he does not offer to make himself a permanent hostage of N Korea |

#6 Respect? As in bowing to every dictator, premier and king he ran into? And it's working so well. |
