| 3 'robbers' beaten to death |

| [Bangla Daily Star] Three alleged robbers were killed in a mob beating at Jhenidabagia village in sadar upazila of Rajbari early yesterday. The dead are Dabir Mandal, 35, of Mulghar village, Faruk, 35, of Alladipur village and Mahinur of Brahmandia village of the upazila. A gang of nine to 10 robbers swooped on Kuddat Sheikh's house at the village around 3:00am, locals said. As the family members cried out for help, people from neighbourhood rushed to the spot and caught three of the robbers. The mob beat them to death while the other gang members decamped the scene. Officer-in-Charge Sarafat Ullah of Rajbari Sadar Police Station confirmed the incident. Police recovered one knife and a machete from a nearby field after the incident. |
