Five Civilians Die in Helmand Gunfire |

[Tolo News] A dozen people, five of them civilians, were killed Tuesday in a fire fight between Nato forces and the Taliban in the southern Helmand province, officials said Seven cut-throats were killed in a shootout in the Sangin district, Helmand governor's office said in a statement. Nato-led International Security Assistance Force (Isaf) confirmed that five civilians were discovered dead after the exchange of fire. "This is a tragedy. We are aware that Orcs and similar vermin purposefully stage attacks against friendly forces using innocent civilian's homes," Nato said in a statement. The clash erupted after Taliban Orcs and similar vermin opened fire on foreign troops in the volatile district, the statement noted. |
