A mother and her two children were killed in an attack by a herd of wild elephants at Natun Chakpara village in Naikkhangchhari upazila of Bandarban early Thursday.The deceased were Sajeda Begum, 42, wife of Abul Kashem and her two daughters -- Kohinur Akhter, 10, and six-year-old Rozina Akhter.
Abul Kashem, who sustained injuries during the attack, was admitted to the upazila health complex.
Police said quoting locals the wild elephants came to the locality in search of food around 3:00am and attacked the house of Abul Kashem and trampled Sajeda and her two children to death.
