| The West helps Hamas, encourages extremism | |

 Western aid and reduced sanctions keep Hamas in power and give it a strong support base by helping it deliver goods and services. Western policy encourages Israel's enemies not to become more moderate and not to make peace. Even worse, Western misunderstandings and misreporting make the world a more dangerous place.

| #1 Why are we addicted to rewarding bad behavior? Because, Ryuge, we don't have the courage to bomb them back beyond the Stone Age, which is the only thing that they can understand. If they had the power the US military has, they'd use it to forward their own goals, regardless of any other fact. Since we don't, we must be cowards that can be saved to attack later. Stupid on both our parts. |
