Sonora: Federales Rescue 50 Kidnap Victims |

![]() A Mexican Policia Federal unit has rescued 50 kidnap victims and arrested five suspect in Caborca, Sonora, say Mexican news accounts. Mexican Federal agents arrived at a safe house in the Las Lomas colony, where several individuals were observed with wounds on their person. Armando Lopez Montiel, 24, Irvin Lopez Montiel, 22, and Luis Felipe Morales Pardo, 32, were arrested at the safe house. Juan Antonio Gonzalez Ochoa was arrested in a Ford Econoline van nearby. An intensified search of the area turned up a fifth suspect, Jose Cuevas Gonzalez. Vehicles seized include a Chevrolet pickup truck and a Jeep Liberty SUV. Of the 50 victims, all day laborers from Eloxochitlan, Puebla, 15 were minors. Some of the captives were hurt in their captivity. Reports do not say how long the victims were held nor the circumstances of their captivity. |

#1 I wonder if ransoms were paid. And if a sixth conspirator decided to keep it all and retire from the area after tipping off the Federales? |
