[Tolo News] Ten insurgents have laid down their arms and surrendered to authorities in northern Faryab province on Sunday, Afghan National Security said.A ten-member insurgent group under Mullah Sayed Amir Shah joined the Afghan peace process in Faryab Province, Afghan National Security said in a statement on Sunday.
The men were active in Pashtun Kot district of Faryab and submitted their guns to government, added the statement.
Meanwhile, Mullah Abdullah a Taliban commander and acting deputy ghost governor has been arrested by Afghan National Security in Nad Ali district of Helmand province, the statement said.
Taliban insurgents have yet to comment.
More than 1030 militants have laid down their weapons and surrendered to Afghan government in the past two or three months.
