Eight killed in suicide car bomb in Iraq |

[Ennahar] Eight people were killed and 30 were maimed Sunday morning in a series of suicide car boom in Storied Baghdad and surrounding areas, said an official of the Ministry of Interior. These attacks followed a wave of violence last week in which 116 people were killed in three days. In the bloodiest attack, a car blew a passing police patrol in Alam, a district south of the capital, killing two, including a policeman, and wounding eight people, including four coppers, said the police. Furthermore, at Kazimiya, a Shiite neighborhood of northern Storied Baghdad, another car targeted a bus of Iranian pilgrims, killing one passenger and injuring eight others. In Abu Nawas Street, in the center of the city, a person was killed and six others were maimed in the same way. In Karrada, also in the center, four people were maimed, including a policeman, in another attack. Finally, in Taji, 25 km north of Storied Baghdad on the main road, a car went kaboom!, killing two people and wounding four. |
