Saadi in Paris to receive instruction in preparation for next Saturdays march
2011-02-17
[Ennahar] The president of the Rally for Culture and Democracy (RCD), Said Saadi, flew to Gay Paree this morning for a visit of several days and will return to Algiers on the morning of Saturday.

According to a well informed source, the head of RCD moved to La Belle France to meet French officials and have discussions on the internal affairs of Algeria. Although our source did not reveal the identity of these French officials, it said that they would be friends of the leader of RCD. The timing of the visit, just days before the third march he called for, raises many doubts.
Saadi will return home next Saturday to participate in the march.

Moreover, the honorary president of the Algerian League of Human Rights (LADDH), Ali Yahia Abdenour, yesterday called the French authorities to intervene to put pressure on Algeria.
In a statement to the French channel before yesterday, had invited the French authorities to put pressure on the Algerian government in order to fulfill the demands of the opposition, the RCD and opposition figures.

The intervention of the honorary president of the LADDH occurred when American organizations of Human Rights have stated that they had received calls from Algerian personalities in order to pressure the U.S. government so that this latter do pressure on the Algerian government.
For their part, the Algerian authorities have remained silent, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs about the foreign interference in the internal affairs of Algeria.
