| One dead, two wounded in attack in southern Thailand |

| One person was killed and two others were seriously wounded in a Friday night attack in southern Narathiwat province. Police said that gunmen on motorcycles opened fire with AK-47 assault rifles on a six-wheel truck on the Pattani-Narathiwat road. The assailants then set fire to the truck instantly killing the driver at the scene and leaving two others seriously injured. The suspects fled the scene immediately. Police blamed |
