Yemen's Saleh hurt in palace attack: diplomat |

getting too close? President Ali Abdullah was slightly wounded when shells struck his palace in Sanaa on Friday, a Western diplomat said, as Yemen slid toward civil war. "Behold, a god who bleeds!" Fierce fighting engulfed the Yemeni capital, where residents cowered in their homes and explosions rocked the city. The senior diplomat in Sanaa said the prime minister, his deputy, the parliament speaker and other senior aides had been wounded in the attack. Four guards were reported killed. |

#3 It gets worse. Apparently government forces surrounded protestors camped in the main square in Taiz at 3am, dowsed the tents using water cannon filled with gasoline, and lit the encampment on fire. Snipers ringing the square shot anyone trying to escape the flames. People of all ages, hundreds dead.
