US yet to decide on North Korea aid
2011-07-21
[Al Jazeera] It has been five months since North Korea declared it needed international assistance to feed its population, but the US has yet to decide whether to provide aid to the nation of 25 million people.

The government of Kim Jong Il limits access to outsiders -- so the international community took notice when in February, the nation put out a plea for food aid because of a harsh winter and severe flooding.

The US stopped food aid to North Korea in 2008 after it could not reach a deal with Pyongyang on a monitoring programme -- to ensure the food went to the needy.

The challenge for the B.O. regime is trying to avoid a humanitarian catastrophe at a moment when it is not clear just how bad things really are for the North Korean people.

#7  This is why China will never be the superpower they wish to be. They take and purchase what they want. Their own people want a piece of the pie now. They will let North Korea rot. Total indifference towards the rest of the world. The military has a few important people who see this error. Nobody is listening. They build, print money, and now want space as their domain. They are spending like on a mad spree. A huge bubble is building. Their ego will not see the caution lights blinking. The corruption will push for more spending so this will continue till they hit the wall. Russia is in far better shape. They will profit from this blunder of ego and greed. Like the cheshire cat they watch with that grin of satisfaction looking for the right time to pounce.

#5  North Korea is a boil on the butt of China, the world's new Super Power. (A boil of China's own making, by the way.)

Not our problem.

#1  the Barack Obama regime is "challenged" by the starvation in North Korea?

Why? How many North Koreans are IN the Barack Obama "regime"? yeah?
What does North Korea produce that we NEED in the United States? There must be SOMETHING they offer the United States other than their pretty faces, after all. Precisely WHAT is it that North Korea has to tug on our heart strings?

And tell me, ( be honest ) do you really care for all your friends in North Korea one way or another? If they cant raise enough Kimchee to feed themselves ( people DO need to focus on feeding themSELVES ) or they just slide out of the gene pool, you know. WHY dont they produce enough to feed themselves?
Does it have anything to do with the fact that the United States didnt give them dinner? WHY is that?

What do we OWE North Korea ? And what difference is it to the United States if a Communist basket case is starving to death ?
HELLO!
There is a REASON North Korea is a starving Basket Case. There IS a reason why they cant feed themselves. It has NOTHING to do with the United States. It has everything to do with their own Kimchee smelling Communist Values. You ever sniffed a bucket of Kimchee? It smells like Communist Paradise.

Screw 'em.
