US after Libya oil: Kucinich |
2011-08-25 |
[Iran Press TV] US Congressman Dennis Kucinich ...far lefty representative-for-life from Ohio, the former mayor of Cleveland when the city defaulted on its debt. His policies on a national level are on about the same par... has blamed the B.O. regime for pursuing control over Libya's vast oil reserves by participating in a military campaign in the North African country. Jeez, talk about a guy with "little man's" disease... "Was the United States, through participation in the overthrow of the [Libyan] regime, furthering the aims of international oil corporations in pursuit of control over one of the world's largest oil resources?" Kucinich said in a statement on his website on Tuesday. You fool! Think green jobs, Dennis! We're actually going over to steal their sunlight and their wind! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA... "Did the United States at the inception of the war against Libya align itself with elements of al-Qaeda, while elsewhere continuing to use the threat of al-Qaeda as a reason for US military intervention, presence and occupation?" he added. Wow. Just like 9/11, Dennis? Kucinich pointed out that the five-month-old military intervention in Libya sets a dangerous precedent for unilateral attacks on sovereign nations. He also urged the International Criminal Court ... where Milosevich died of old age before being convicted ... to investigate potential war crimes by military leaders on all sides of the conflict. "Resources which should be spent creating jobs in America are going to perpetuate war abroad," Kucinich said, adding, "Resources which should be used to build bridges in America continue to be used to bomb bridges elsewhere." Hey...catchy. In March, Kucinich suggested President Barack B.O.Obama's authorizing of So...impeach him, my little Munchkin. |

#22 re:Shakey. That's why a "Dutchman" wouldn't recall the drop of the 82nd and 101st in Market Garden. They've had regular commemorative drops for decades on the date of the event all along the original route. |

#15 EP7165, agree, also would like to add on to prevent massive immigration across the Med. Another reason why France and Italy were on board quickly if not so much publically. Basically, everything the USA has been accused of doing - war for oil and racism as others call it when the roles are reversed. Even before this kurfluffle, IIRC, North Africa nations were telling the EU, build us job centers or prepare to receive our unemployed, Algeria I believe leading this call. I can get that, those are reasons to war which date to prehistory. What I found interesting was not only how coy the EU was about it, but also what a CF a EU mobilization of force is. Also interesting was how shobama handled his own personal war. Not only did he not feel it was necessary to explain why the USA was launching tomadove love cruise kinetic devices so forth, but when he did it was made out to be such a pain for the obamas to cancel their vacation to go all the way back to DC and all we got was a 2 week cliff note, no plan of action. Then the public was just flat fucking lied to. If he had made the call right off the bat it would have been over in a month. Instead, as it has been pointed out, obama is more interested in dressage than stallion and we got process and points of order while daffy reinforced. Gutsy Call, I want to see this movie. "Mr President, France is ready to send strike planes, Italy will provide logistics for bases, Britian has SAS on the ground as we speak. All they ask is a salvo of cruise missiles against confirmed radar and communication centers. What are your orders?" "Samba." Snoot is a fool...everyone knows 'Mericans made a secret pact in the early 1800's to robber all the petrol from around the world, knowing full well that 150 years later the world would depend upon it. 8 years a twit. Further proof, kucinich may be many things, and I'd even call him consistant and for himself honest, but I'm sure neither him or I would refer to him as a yanquis. |

#11 Yes, evil America always wants the oil. Of course, the Dutch just want the gas... Oil giant Royal Dutch Shell is keeping an ear close to the gound in Libya, but says itÂ’s still much too early to consider returning there, a spokesman told Dutch news agency ANP. Shell withdrew its personnel from Libya earlier this year because of heightening political tension. The company was conducting exploration for natural gas with the help of two drilling towers. "We are watching the situation carefully and monitoring it to see when one can make contact [with the rebels] and when we can go back in and operate," said Shell. "It's too early to make a call." The Anglo-Dutch energy giant signed a deal with the Libyan government in 2005 to explore and develop five areas in the Sirte basin, as well as to upgrade a liquefied natural gas plant at Marsa al-Brega, on Libya's Mediterranean coast. Shell was one of the first energy companies to sign an exploration deal with Libya after international sanctions were lifted in 2004. Global share prices have responded well to Colonel Muammar GaddafiÂ’s potential downfall as the rebel assault gains critical momentum. ENI, the largest foreign oil operator in Libya, rose 5.6 percent. Shell, BG Group and Galp Energia are up between 1.1 and 2.7 percent. So fuck off and die, you Dutch hypocrite. Unless you're Ukranian today... |

#8 Dennis, you psychotic dwarf, it isn't Libya's *oil* we're worried about, it's their strategic water resources! It threatens our agricultural monopolies. Honest. |

#7 The above graph is confusing. The barrels imported are shown as text on the right as text. This graph better shows the top Libyan oil importers. |

#6 Kucinich is right. It is about the oil, but his aim isn't worth shit. Libyan oil importers: 14 Mar 2011: Gaddafi offers Libyan oil production to India, Russia, China As the insurrection gained momentum, Gaddafi warned on March 2 that oil production in Libya had hit a historic low and threatened to throw out Western oil companies operating in the country. "We are ready to bring Chinese and Indian companies to replace Western ones," he said as oil companies evacuated their personnel and fled the violence. 19 March 2011: France begins unilateral airstrikes on Libyan government forces near Benghazi. Yeah, so it is an oil war, for Total, ENI and BP. But that's OK, since European Fascists have only pure motives in their hearts. |

#4 The Japanese tsunami/nuclear disaster was 3/11, and within a week we started bombing Libya; coincidence - or diversion of attention? (Started out as a snarky question, but then I got to actually wondering, since I never did see a convincing reason for action at that time, though if it was some secret WMD issue I wouldn't expect to hear.) |

#3 Damn, who's been distributing those strangely styled sunglasses to him? Kuchinich also added "It's time to kick ass and chew bubblegum, and I'm all out of gum". |

#2 KUCINICH ... versus * RUSSIA TODAY > FRENCH WANT TOTAL [TOTAL Oil-Energy Company] CONTROL OF LIBYAN OIL. France riding high oer NATO, + Gaddafi-Libya chaos??? versus * SAME > FRACKING COULD HAVE CAUSED US EAST COAST EARTHQUAKE. versus * SAME > FRANCE MAY BAN FRACKING, CITING US DISASTERS. [GULF OF MEXICO = DEEPWATER HORIZON, PEAK OIL, + YEAR 2040-2070 here]. But I digress ... |
