| ATC orders to drop Anjum Aqeel escape case |

| [Dawn] An anti-terrorist court on Wednesday ordered to drop the case against PML-N politician Anjum Aqeel Khan, who had been charged with escaping from police custody, and 32 other people, DawnNews reported. The court issued the order of absolving the politician and his supporters of the charges due to lack of sufficient evidence. Arrested on July 15 in a land fraud case, the National Assembly member had beat feet from custody outside the Shalimar cop shoppe with the help of supporters. Subsequently, the court adjourned the case's hearing to August 30. |
