U.S. initial jobless claims rise unexpectedly
2011-08-25
Snip, duplicate. Sorry Darth :-)
Not to mention the 1.2 million people that can't collect anymore since they have been unemployed so long. Ever think that these so called "experts" don't know what the fuck they are doing? Me too.

#16  thank God Gaia Obama's quit taking daily economic briefings. He might be distracted and depressed. Can't help his golf game. Better this way

#15  Unexpectedly.

There you use that word again. I do not think that word means what you think it means.

#14  That's gotta hurt. It's also notable that he made extended remarks about his reason for dissenting in the last FOMC meeting. Things will be getting rougher.

#12  Â“The Dallas Fed will henceforth be providing monthly updates on employment in Texas through our website,” he said. “We hope it will be a useful tool for everyone, ranging from columnists who write for The New York Times to the pundits who provide commentary for Fox News, as well as serious economists.”

#9  As a lifelong, committed advocate of Obama for World Emporer, I demand a US Justice Department "investigation" of the U.S. Department of Labor. These numbers appear well, well racist!

#8  The term 'unexpectedly' is a rhetorical gimmick to make the continuing deterioration of the economy seem less painful and foreboding than it is. Current headline reads better than "US Initial Jobless Claims Rise Again"

#7  The previous week's figure was revised up to 412,000 from 408,000.

Last week's numbers had shown a decline. Now it's an increase, which is why the preliminary numbers mean nothing.

#6  If there's a 'fuck' in the inline, you can be sure Darth's the one posting.

Hehe... this is one of the few places I can vent a little. I can come in here and kick off my shoes, so to speak. Sorry about the smell... ;)

#5  Why not give another trillion or so to foreign and local bank Bondholders, that's bound to sort it out.

#2  You'd think that editors would have learned to ban that word from economic articles by now...
