#17  The T's (transit system)shutdown for tomorrow. Two planes just went over though, so I guess Logan's still open. Heavy rain this afternoon for a few hours, then intermittent showers of varying intensity since. Still no winds yet. The big stuff's supposed to show up around dawn.

#16  Well, Governor Erkel is panicking, so that's a good sign. He's never right...

#15  Crap. We just had 2 power blinks (which kicked off the computer) and then it went out completely for a minute. Guess I'd better get offline before I get kicked off again. :-(

#14  tu, why are they walking together? I thought the plan was to go in separate planes in order to maximize their carbon footprint.

#13  Frank, for some reason I had a flashback to Hueys and the dangling ladder pulling away from a rooftop ....

#12  LOL tu. I can't wait to see them catching that last ride off the WH grounds in January 2013. Bye Bye!

#11  Current forecast here is 2-5 inches of rain, 40-50MPH guts. Worst of it about 2PM tomorrow.
Currently, very muggy, occasional showers. No wind at all.

#10  Can you blame them, tu?

After all, if you were a messiah and God the weather screwed up your vacation, you'd be pissed too.

#9  Man, do they look unhappy.
You'd think it was the MacArthur's leaving Bataan...

#8  For those in the south here, don't get over-confident and start mulling about. Most deaths occur when people think the storm as passed and they go outside and meet with a pool of water and a downed power-line. etc etc. Leave the roads clear for emergency personnel if at all possible.

#7  Beavis - don't forget the crack in the Washington Monument and the earthquake in Virginia [that was the Founding Fathers (Washington, Jefferson, Madison, et al) rolling over in their graves].

#6  Here in Connecticut we're takin' the under... but putting the lawn chairs in the garage and picking the half ripe tomatoes just in case.

#5  Will be small events spread out over wide areas for the most. Keep your eyes open for storm surge. That's the biggest issue.

#4  Stay closed for Shabbot, but I doubt there will be much damage.

#3  We saw a pine cone fall to the ground and a pine needle stuck in the screen on the porch. But on the scanner,There is a downed power line. Not to mention there is an alligator on the road.

#2  Nope. It completely went around us here in the south. If you are around us here, it' is now business as usual. Proud of you taking this storm serious as it could have been HERE. But... (Always a but),

Pray for our large population centers. The storm surge could make havoc on the Hudson. Do not let your guard down in New York. Need you safe and play acting like it is serious.

Weather Nerd is good to watch.
Even if this does not look serious, it may have a right hook.

The next one could be very serious.

#1  Earthquake, hurricane, Obamacare. When does it stop? Seven more and I vote we let the Israelites go.
