All things equal, short of nuking Taiwan to deny it to the US-Allies, the greatest or most realistic PLA threat to US-backed Taiwan is vee massive conventional PLA Airborne Paratrooper + Mech Assault, as suppor by PLAAF CAS, SPECOPS, + follow-on Amphib, second-wave ABN attacks. PLA DOCTRINES, ETC. MAKE IT CLEAR THAT MAINLAND CHINA = CPC + PLA IS NOT CONCERNED WID SUFFERING HIGH = PROHIBITIVE COMBAT CASUALTIES AMONG THEIR MIL UNITS. The PLA will likely attempt to strike first AMAP AHAP ALAP, but after their SPECOPS effec disrupts or disables military communications sys, etc. between Taiwan's mil forces + Govt, espec as per retaliatory LRBM + air forces. |
