Mexican Army units since October 13 have seized 27,157.763 kilograms of marijuana, 100.309 kilograms of cocaine, 75 kilograms of cocaine paste, 415.54 kilograms of crystal methamphetimine, 2.155 kilograms of glass methamphetimine, 445 kilograms of solid methamphetamine, 190 liters of liquid methamphetamine, 2.66 kilograms of opium gum, 1.5 kilograms of heroin, 80 liters of processed opium gum and MP $585,000.00 (USD $43,737.99) in cash.
  • Mexican Army units with the 6th Military Zone seized weapons and vehicles in two separate raids in Coahuila state October 13th. The raids took place in Acuña and Sabinas municipalities. Seized contraband included 25 rifles, one handgun, one grenade launcher attachment, 282 weapons magazines, 6,448 rounds of ammunition and 16 vehicles, four of which were stolen.

  • Mexican Army units with the II Military Region in Baja California seized a large amount of drugs and cash in four separate incidents October 13.
    • In Otay Constituyentes colony in Tijuana, soldiers found a box trailer containing 16,643 kilograms of marijuana.

    • In Sonora colony in Mexicali, army troops in conjunction with Baja California state police agents and Mexicali municipal police raided a residence seizing 87.219 kilograms of cocaine, 2.155 kilograms of glass methamphetimine, one handgun, one rifle, 372 rounds of ammunition and 17 weapons magazines.

    • Also in Toscana colony of Mexicali, soldiers found 403.58 kilograms of crystal methamphetimine and 1.94 kilograms of cocaine.

    • At the Abelardo L. Rodriguez International Airport in Tijuana, soldiers detained one unidentified individual with MP $585,000.00 (USD $43,737.99) in cash.

  • An army unit with the Mexican 15th Military Zone conducted a traffic stop in an area between Jalisco and Zacatecas states arresting three unidentified individuals and seizing a number of weapons. Seized weapons included three rifles, 85 rounds of ammunition, three radios and a vehicle.

  • Mexican Army units with the 7th Military Zone in Nuevo Leon detained seven individuals and seized contraband including drug and guns in three separate incidents.
    • On October 13th at 1130 hrs in Cadereyta Jimenez municipality, soldiers conducted a traffic stop and detained three individuals. Seized contraband incldued personal quantities of marijuana and cocaine, two handguns, two telescopes, 200 rounds of ammunition, communications devices and tactical gear. Arrested were Ramiro Alejandro Aguilera Cardenas AKA El Puas, Raul Cisneros Gloria ALA El Gordo, and Juan Ramon Para Castillo AKA La Changa.

    • On October 13th at 1530 hrs in Monterrey, a Mexican Army unit was fired on by an individual using a shotgun at a residence. Soldiers returned fire, and captured one unidentified individual. Inside the residence soldiers found a female kidnap victim still alive. Apparently two other victims has been murdered the day before in southern Monterrey. Soldiers also seized two rifles, two handguns, 111 weapons magazines, 490 rounds of ammunition and tactical gear.

    • In Apodaca at about 1630 hrs, following a brief vehicle pursuit, Mexican soldiers detained three individuals and seized a quantity of contraband. Seized materials included personal quantities of crack cocaine, three rifles, one handgun, 124 weapons magazines, 769 rounds of ammunition, two bulletproof vests, communication equipment, and tactical gear. Arrested were Edgar Solis Rodriguez AKA El Flaco, Juan Carlos Balboa Martinez AKA El Charly and Noe Manuel Blanco Gallegos AKA El Leo.

  • An escaped male kidnapping victim provided information leading a detachment of Mexican soldiers with the 29th Military Zone to a bar in Minitlan, Veracruz where four unidentified individuals were detained for the crime.

  • Mexican Army detachments with the 9th Military Zone discovered a hidden synthetic drug laboratory in Sinaloa state October 13th. The lab was found near the village of La Higuera in Culican municipality. There, soldiers seized 280 kilograms of solid methamphetamine, 65 liters of liquid methamphetamine, 100 kilograms of tartaric acid, 20 liters of an unknown liquid substance, five kilograms of ammonium chloride, and containers and other materials for the production of synthetic drugs.

  • An army unit with the Mexican 9th Military Zone discovered a hidden synthetic drug laboratory while ion patrol Mocorito municipality October 14th. The lab was near the village of Bacamacori. Seized materials included 75 kilograms of cocaine paste, 125 kilograms of caustic soda and other material for the manufacture of drugs.

  • Mexican Army units with the II Military region raided a location in Baja California seizing quantities of marijuana and cocaine. The unit was on patrol in Ejido Michoacan de Ocampo in Valle de Mexicali municipality when it found 130.76 kilograms of marijuana, a vehicle, one ultralight aircraft and one unidentified individual, who was detained at the scene. Units also found 8.8 kilograms of cocaine nearby.

  • Army units with the 15th Military Zone seized drugs and guns in two separate incidents in Jalisco state October 15th.
    • In Tapatio colony in Tlaquepaque municipality, soldiers sent to the location found and seized 10.1 kilograms of crystal methamphetimine, four grenades, four rifles, two handguns, 508 rounds of ammunition, 36 weapons magazines, 11 watches of different brands, tactical gear and three vehicles.

    • In Camino Real colony in Ocotlan, soldiers detained one unidentified individual and seized one weapon, one weapons magazine, 12 rounds of ammunition, personal quantities of crystal methamphetimine and marijuana, and one vehicle.

  • Mexican army units with the 9th Military Zine found a hidden drug laboratory in Sinaloa state October 17th. The unit was on patrol near the village of Monzon, in Badiraguato municipality when it observed the lab hidden in foliage. Seized contraband included 165 kilos of solid methamphetamine, 125 liters of liquid methamphetamine, 1.375 kilos of caustic soda, 400 kilos of sodium acetate, 13 kilos of a substance unknown solid, 1.870 liters of alcohol, 1.550 liters of toluene, 3.000 liters hydrochloric acid and other material for the manufacture of drugs.

  • Mexican soldiers with the 35th Military Zone seized a quantity of guns and drugs in Guerrero state October 18th. A unit was on patrol near the village of Mazatlan in Chilpancingo municipality when it performed a traffic stop of two vehicles. Contraband seized included 2.66 grams of opium gum, 5.5 kilograms of marijuana, one weapon, four handguns, two weapons magazines, 55 rounds of ammunition and two vehicles. Six unidentified individuals were detained at the scene.

  • An army detachment with the Mexican 13th Military Zione detained individuals and seized quantities if guns and drugs in the village of El Filo in Tecuala municipality in Nayarit state October 19th. Seized materials include 1.5 kilograms of heroin, 80 liters of processed opium gum, five liters of an unidentified chemical for processing heroin, drug processing equipment, two rifles, three handguns one weapons magazine, 138 rounds of ammunition, four radios, military apparel and one motorcycle.

  • Army units in Baja California seized large quantities of drugs and other contraband in five separate incidents October 18th.
    • In conjunction with Tijuana municipal police, soldiers located a warehouse near the intersection of Bulevar Santa Fe and the road to Ensenada in Cuestecitas colony in San Antonio de los Delegation Buenos in Tijuana, where they seized 10,356 kilograms of marijuana.

    • At a residence on Calle Tlaxcaltecas in Tierra y Libertad colony in La Presa Delegation in Tijuana, soldiers responding to a citizen's complaint arrested one individual and seized 1.003 kilograms of marijuana in 129 packages.

    • On Calle Ruben Darioin in Reforma colony in the Sanchez Taboada Delegation in Tijuana soldiers seized 21 kilograms of marijuana and one vehicle.

    • In Mexicali in conjunction with Baja California state ministerial police agents and Mexicali municipal police, soldiers conducted a raid on Avenida Uruguay in Colonia Cuauhtémoc Norte where three unidentified individuals were detained and 2.35 kilograms of cocaine, 1.86 kilograms of crystal methamphetimine and .5 kilograms of marijuana were seized. Weapons seized included 2 handguns, 334 rounds of ammunition and one vehicle.

    • Along the irrigation canal in Ejido Islas Agrarias del Valle de Mexicali municipalioty, soldiers found one rifle, 25 rounds of ammunition, one trailer , 11 ultralight aircraft parts and one vehicle.

    On October 13th in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, army units with the Mexican 7th Military Zone incinerated 41,922.825 kilograms of marijuana seized in various raids throughout Tamaulipas state.
