I started the backup routine way back, when we had a Windows server that would occasionally eat data. I watched an entire day's worth of articles disappear one by one once. That was about a week before we switched to Linux, where it's never happened again. | |

#15 Will keep building the list. Will find what slipped through the cracks.And may even pull out all the hyperlinks before all is said and done. It's backed up on the cloud and 5 computers so nothing will be lost. The big picture is quite important and I appreciate you guys tracking with me. |

#13 Doesn't work that way... Heh. Didn't think so. Was just goofing. Don't kick yourself too hard, ryuge. Mistakes happen. After a bout of repetitive forum management (stinkin' chinese spammers), I find my cursor heading for the delete button out of reflex. |

#7 There's no way to 'resurrect' dead articles? One thing I noticed - is that when an article is deleted - the links to it's (now deleted) comments still appear in the list of comments to the right of the articles. |

#5 Â Rule #1 of databases is NDA. Never delete anything. Especially not accidentally. ;-). I daren't say anything more, given how many such mistakes I've made. Apologies on e again for all that I've done in the past...including the ones I rescued before they became permanent. |
