#3  Only modern nuclear or fusion plants will be able to provide enough power to use electric cars as common transport. Of course since oil/gas is NOT a fossil fuel there should be plenty of time to develop the tech and upgrade the grid to handle the loads that would follow. 150 years should do.

#2  Oil will continuance to get increasingly valuable until transportation electrifies. There is an order of magnitude difference in demand when 700 million people were the beneficiaries of a western standard of living and 7 billion.

#1  The noose around Allan's oil ticks tightens. Alternative energy supplies like these may some day be like organophospates on the oil ticks. Stone cold broke jihadis aren't much of a threat to anyone but themselves.
