| #5 And yet this won't create enemies of the Taliban out of the families and extended families and clans of the murdered Pakistani soldiers? Only the Taliban can recruit armies of vengeful kinfolk? Pretty insulting commentary on the courage of most Pakistanis, it seems to me. |

| #4 Hopefully the Pak army will launch a punitive expedition into the Khyber Agency and just blister the place. The British maintained order in Afghanistan for a long time with a few, simple rules. Violate any of them and the British would wipe out an entire village. The Afghans could dig it. |

| #3 Afghanistan is the symptom of the disease. Pakistan has always been the origin, with others financing. That is why, IMHO, Fred has covered Pakistan so much. Nice little terrorist country. |
