[TOLOnews] - A group of 80 hard boyz laid down its weapons and surrendered to the Afghan government in northern Baghlan province on Friday, local officials said on Saturday. The hard boyz were from Baghlan-e-Markazi district and they had been active in the province over the past few years where they had carried out attacks against the government, Lal Mohammad Ahmadzai, head of the 303 Pamir corps in northern Afghanistan, told TOLOnews.
Mr Ahmadzai is confident that security will improve as more hard boyz renounce violence in the province.
Five days ago a separate group of 40 hard boyz also agreed to join the government in Baghlan.
