| Wanted Talib turns self in for own reward |

| Mohammad Ashan was wanted for organising attacks on Afghan troops and so police were bemused when he voluntarily approached the checkpoint. They arrested him immediately but called for American backup to check they had the right man. “We asked him, ‘Is this you?’ Mohammad Ashan answered with an incredible amount of enthusiasm, ‘Yes, yes, that’s me! Can I get my award now?’” one US soldier told the Washington Post. "Clearly, the man is an imbecile," a US official added. |
