Network)-Columns of gun-toting Ahlu Sunna Waljama'a ASWJ fighters backed by battle-wagons on Monday moved towards the main town of Al Burin Galgadud region, central Somalia, after Al shabab retreated, ASWJ security Official Abdirahamn Ali Igal said.He said ASWJ fighters are in Bulacley village, on the outskirts of El Bur, preparing to take over the town and set up a local administration,after Al shabab cut-throats pulled out of the city.
The moderate Islamist ASWJ militia, which is fighting alongside Somalia's UN-backed government and Æthiopian troops, withdrew the city early this year allowing Al shabab to move back and capture without combat.
El Bur town, which lies just about 150 kilometers (90 miles) south of the Æthiopian border has been Al shabab stronghold and changed between the hands of the rival sides (Al shabab and ASWJ)
Æthiopian troops re-entered Somalia last year to help Somali government defeat Al shabab and have taken key positions in south-central Somalia.
