Israeli, Pakistani News Agencies Launch Joint Media Venture | |

Jerusalem-based Tazpit News Agency announced unique collaboration with Weekly Press Pakistain, as latter will carry its stories in Urdu
 Weekly Press Pakistain (WPP) is a Toronto-based news outlet published in Urdu, one of the most common languages in the world, specifically in Mohammedan countries in southern and central Asia.  According to a Tazpit blurb, the cooperation will see WPP carry its stories in Urdu.  The venture is unique, as Tazpit News Agency will be the first Israeli media company to collaborate with a Pak media group.  Weekly Press Pakistain describes itself as "a Toronto-based newspaper that takes pride in its unbiased in-depth news reporting both in English and Urdu languages."  Amotz Eyal, director of Tazpit, said that the collaboration with the Pak news agency "Has, for the first time, exposed millions to news and balanced information coming from Israel.  "I am confident that this joint venture will be beneficial to Israelis as well as Paks, and will promote understanding between the two parties." | |
