Two Muslim rangers were killed in a terrorist drive-by shooting in Narathiwat province on Monday evening, raising the death toll from terrorist insurgent attacks during the fasting month of Ramadan to 11.
The victims were travelling on a motorcycle when a terrorist gunman riding pillion on another motorcycle shot each of them in the head with a pistol, seriously wounding them. The terrorists assailants then fled. The rangers were taken to the hospital where they were later pronounced dead.

The terrorist ambush occurred in front of a mosque where the rangers had gone for a Ramadan evening prayer and left to buy food for their fellow Muslim soldiers during Ramadan. At least 23 violent terrorist incidents have taken place in the deep South since Ramadan began on July 20. Monday's killings raised the Ramadan terrorist death toll to 11 after five policemen were slain in a car bomb attack in Yala and four soldiers were killed in a terrorist drive-by shooting last week.
