How the Kurds Have Changed TurkeyÂ’s Calculations on Syria
2012-08-07
Support for the anti-Assad rebellion has been complicated by Syria's Kurds moving to establish autonomy, raising Ankara's fears about implications for Turkey's domestic Kurdish challenge

#4  Arm the Kurds, send them into Syria/new Kurdistan with the promise of a true Kurdistan. Use them as a client instead of an enemy and move the fertility problem to Arab lands.

#2  Kurdish population of Turkey is about 15-25% and increasing because Kurdish fertility is higher than Turkish fertility.

Kurdish population would be higher but for the massacres of the late 1930 when over 50,000 Kurds were murdered by turks (yes, in addition to the Armenian genocide and the Greek genocide the Turks did it to Kurds also)
