DNC Expected to Affect Cancer Patients with center closure for event
2012-08-22
You would think these people would be a little more sensitive to cancer patients. What happens if one of these people dies during Obama's coronation? Will Obama's PAC buddies run commercials accusing him of murder?

On Tuesday, September 4th, the DNC will officially kick off. Tens of thousands from around the world will head to the Queen City and there's no secret, the convention will have a major impact locally, including on people battling cancer.

Matthews resident Sue Falco is fighting stage four colon cancer, and says the DNC will force a major cancer treatment center to close. Carolina's Hematology Oncology Associates on South Tryon will close for four days during the DNC, because of security and traffic concerns.

"It's kind of fascinating how an event like this impacts a city," Falco said.

Carolina's Hematology Oncology Associates will have two other locations open around Mecklenburg County during the DNC. An employee says South Tryon patients will be able to receive treatment at the two other locations.

"I'm very fortunate that I can drive myself to and from chemotherapy but I know a lot of people depend on family members who have to drive a distance to get to their therapy," she said.

Democrats snivel and whine that voters are disenfranchised because they have to drive a couple of miles to get photo ID so they can legally vote. Not a peep from them about sick patients risking their lives to get chemo treatments while they party it up.

For shame. Can you imagine the firestorm this would create if you substituted "RNC" in lieu DNC? The networks would have a field day exploiting these folks and Republicans would be accused of wanting people to die. Well, that's old hat, but you get the point.
I guess the DNC wants to show Romney how to kill cancer patients. Another reason I think the party conventions are a huge waste of time and money and too much of an inconvenience.
